INFORMATION FOR VOLUNTEERS

Q & A

Q1 Can I use my hairdryer?
Yes! But consider a package holiday.

Q2 How will you recognise me at the airport?
You will have a rucksack! (all the tourists bring suitcases!)

Q3 How will I know what projects there are to work on?
By reading the prerparatory literature sent to you.

Q4 Will I be up to the challenge?
Do not know! Everybody else has been! Perhaps you are particularly inadequate!

Q5 How much free time will there be? (i.e. is there much work?)
Not a lot and yes! People tend to burn out after about ten days and then some recover into their third week, the rest just wither and die!

Q6 How rustic is rustic?
      Very!

In the afternoons, if there have been no clouds in the morning!

Yes, each volunteer is allocated one square metre!

Looking for husbands, fathers with shotgun at the ready!

Depends what you are looking for- there are plenty of whales and dolphins around

Q15 What boats are used?
        The whale watch boats!!!

Q16 Should I bring sea sickness tablets?
If not, bring plenty of travelwash!

Q17 Can you recommend any good reading?
'101 things to do whilst waiting for the van' is good for stress! '101 things to do with chickpeas' is also highly educational.

Q18 How old are the other volunteers?
Varies, but all are 'young at heart' and all are much older when they leave!

Q19 Is it safe to come alone?
        See a psychologist!
