KEY FACTS:
Free accommodation: Simple multibedded in converted peasant tenement dwellings. Three shower blocks with eleven showers and five wash basins. Five toilets. Kitchen and facilities. Extensive relaxation areas on a large, but intimate, landscaped site. Resource Room, see attached details.

Situation: In an orange grove surrounded on three sides by the majestic 2000mtr high mountains that form the Guimar Valley and with the Atlantic and Gran Canaria facing. 12 Km from Santa Cruz and 56Km from the mass tourism of the south.

Local facilities: Easy walking distance of local bars, supermarket, garage shop and bus stops. Nearest villages apart from tiny hamlet of La Hidlaga are Arafo and Guimar some 2km distant and Candelaria about 5km away, ten minutes on the bus.

MEAL ARRANGEMENTS - LA HIDALGA.
There are facilities for making snacks and drinks. Breakfast - rolls and preserves, cornflakes, milk and tea/ sugar -will be provided and you will be able to help yourself. Evening meals are also provided and this year we will be preparing these ourselves in order to create more flexibility. Cooking, washing - up and cleaning will be on a rota basis and organised by the on-site co-ordinators. Cleanliness is next to God, and it keeps the rats away!!

ELECTRICITY.
220 volts. Most UK appliances will need an adapter as sockets take round two pin plugs.
